Monkey Colony...

Launceston's City Park is home to the famous monkey colony, whose playful antics have entertained both locals and visitors alike for many years. A particular favourite with the children, the monkeys utilise their environment to the full, balancing and swinging from rope to rope, tree to tree. They also spend countless hours grooming one another, especially when the young monkeys are born.

We ask that when visiting the monkey colony, that you refrain from feeding the monkeys, as their diet is carefully monitored to assist with their breeding and general well-being.
