Pipers Brook Vineyard...
Pipers Brook Vineyard is one of Australia's leading producers of cool-climate
wine. It specialises in fine Chardonnay, delicate Riesling and premium Pinot
Noir under the Pipers Brook Vineyard label, and markets a similar range of
early drinking wines under the Ninth Island label. It also exports to ten
overseas countries.
The flagship wines, under the Pipers Brook Vineyard label, have received many
accolades for their quality including the first listing of an Australian wine
at the world-famous French restaurant, Troisgros, Roanne. The company's particular
strength is its control over grape production with 95% of fruit intake grown
in its own vineyards, located at 41 degrees South, in 10 locations on both
sides of the Tamar River in Northern Tasmania.
To access Pipers Brook Vineyard from Launceston, travel North on Highway A8
to Bell Bay and turn right on to the Bridport Road (B82). Turn right at C818
and continue for 800 metres.
The vineyard is open daily from 10:00am to 5:00pm - it is closed on Christmas
Day.
